Congratulations to the 2008 Flight Deck Creative Residency Recipients:
Kelly Sullivan AND Stimulate Dance
Open Flight offers this summer space grant as our gift to the community, through an open application process. THANK YOU to everyone who applied. It is exciting to hear about so much vibrant and energetic work, happening in our community!
Kelly Sullivan will use the residency to develop her work, Saccade, which seeks to examine the underlying disruptions that fast-paced communication technologies have on human interactions. Saccade highlights the triumphs and tragedies of human communication in a world saturated with the thrills and dangers of technology.
Stimulate Dance will use the residency to develop their second full-length show to be performed in private living rooms in the Seattle and Portland area. Their work combines humor and audience participation as they explore performer-audience dynamics in a relaxed environment.

on Sunday August 31 (times tba)
